Shchepino

First mentioned in 1563.

Number of farmsteads: 1 (1563), 1 (1678), 1 (1707), 4 (1911).

The village has been known since 1563. In 1616 farmer Vasko Shcheba lived in it. His nickname became the family name for the descendants.

The village has been small (3-4 farmsteads) for the whole period of existence. The structure of the settlement of the early XX century has been partly preserved. One of the houses, the house of Jakov Shchepin, was moved to the museum on Kizhi Island.
