Other names: Gruzilovskaya
First mentioned in 1563.

Number of farmsteads: 1 (1563), 6 (1678), 1 (1707), 14 (1911).

Originally the village was located on the small island of Kerckostrov. Farmers transported cows and calves from this island to summer pastures on the mainland. In the XVIII century the whole village was moved to the mainland as it turned out that the land of Kerckostrov was almost the best in the region and it was cultivated.

The villagers brought their houses, granaries and threshing barns to the mainland. They built a chapel in the name of the prophet Elijah on the new place. Now the old village comes to life only in summer when descendants of the farmers, whose houses are still preserved there, come to the village from the city. The chapel was burnt down in 1950s. In 2008 by efforts of one of the local residents a church in the name of the prophet Elijah was built on the chapel’s site. August 2 they celebrate the church feast. Guests from nearby villages come to visit the church; the Folklore and Ethnographic Theatre of the Kizhi Museum gives performances.

There are several ancient houses preserved in the village. One of them belonged to the family of Vavilins. The present owners, who are the descendants of the former owners, carefully preserve the traditional interior. There was a smithy behind the house, almost in the center of the village. A smith is known to be a very important figure in the peasant life. He shoed horses, made details of doors and plows.

The second old house is located on the southern edge of the village. It is the house of farmers Romanovs. There is a legend about origin of their name. Originally, according to the documents, the name of the family was Telenkovs (by the way, the younger brother retained this name). After visiting St. Petersburg the elder brother decided that their family was worthy of a more imposing name and took the royal one Romanov. In fact, the history of the family name is very simple: in the middle of the XX century there was a man in this family named Roman, from which the family name Romanovs was originated.

In the house of Romanovs built in 1905 there was an old believers chapel and a dye-house to dye linen fabric. Despite the fact that the household part of this house has not been preserved, it still impresses with its size.
