Location: Kizhi Island
First mentioned in 1563.
Number of farmsteads: 2 (1631) and 3 (1867).
The first description of Kizhi villages (1563) includes the name of the settlement connected with its location – the village on Kizhi island in Navolok. Farmer Fedko Bachyurin lived in the only house of the village. The village got its name from the name of this person. Perhaps, he was the first settler. The name of the village has not been changed throughout the history of its existence. At the time of Novgorod it belonged to Novgorodian merchant Lavrenty Panfiliev.
The grandfather of Lavrenty Panfiliev – Selifont gave a part of his lands to Paleostrovsky monks in 1440s. It initiated the formation of the Paleostrovsky monastery. The father of Lavrenty – Panfil led Novgorodian merchants who actively opposed Moscow.
In 1631 there were two houses in the settlement. The size of the village has remained steady for several centuries. By the end of the XIX c. there were 3 houses in it. Farmers of the village of Bachurino belonged to the poorest category of ploughmen. By the beginning of the XX c. there were only two cows in three farmsteads for 24 people. There were craftsmen among peasants – 3 joiners who worked in Saint Petersburg. The village ceased to exist after the Second World War..
